Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and DataBiz (“DataBiz Academy”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) governing your access to and use of the DataBiz Academy website and training platform (the “Service”). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

DataBiz Academy is an online training platform that pairs an AI-driven stakeholder simulation (“the Trainer”) with an in-browser SQL workspace, organized around industry case studies, to help learners practice business scoping and data-analysis skills. The Service is provided for individual, educational use.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service (see our Privacy Policy for more on our children’s privacy stance). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or our infrastructure.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service (e.g. attempting to overload, scrape at scale, or reverse-engineer it).
• Use automated means to extract Trainer conversations, case study content, or datasets for purposes other than your own learning.
• Resell, sublicense, or provide access to the Service to anyone outside your own account.

We may investigate and take appropriate action, including suspension or termination under Section 9, against anyone who violates this section.

Access to the Service is currently offered as a one-time payment for lifetime access to the case studies and features included at the time of purchase. Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record, which handles billing, tax, and payment data directly. The full price is displayed before you complete checkout. Because access is a single, one-time purchase rather than a recurring subscription, there is no auto-renewal and nothing to cancel going forward.

If we introduce recurring subscription plans in the future, this section will be updated to disclose the billing cycle, renewal terms, and how to cancel before that plan becomes available.

Because the Service provides immediate access to digital content, purchases are generally final and non-refundable, subject to applicable law.

The Service, including its software, case study content, datasets, trainer scripts, and branding, is owned by DataBiz Academy or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for your own personal learning. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

The Trainer’s responses, feedback, and hints are generated using an AI language model and are provided for educational purposes only. They may occasionally be inaccurate or incomplete. The Trainer does not provide professional, legal, or financial advice, and you should not rely on it as such.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent or abusive behavior, or if required to comply with applicable law. You may stop using the Service and request deletion of your account at any time by contacting us. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 7, 8, 10, and 11) will continue to apply.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. To the fullest extent permitted by law, DataBiz Academy will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. This limitation is intended to be reasonable and is not meant to override any right you have under mandatory consumer-protection law that cannot be waived, including under Israel’s Standard Contracts Law 5743-1982.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the courts located in Tel Aviv, Israel, except where applicable law — such as Israeli consumer protection law for consumers purchasing from Israel — requires a different forum or overrides this clause.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you directly. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
